After a clinical finish in its previous match against Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is back to pose a difficult challenge for Delhi Daredevils (DD). It was Jacques Kallis day whose quick fire fifty helped KKR to set a decent total against a strong batting lineup of MI. Manish Pandey also played well and contributed effective runs for the team. But in the end it was Sunil Narine whose magic once again made batsmen look fool at the crease. Other bowlers of KKR also gave enough support to Narine and restricted Mumbai Indians batsmen from hitting boundaries. KKR will look to continue their winning run but KKR captain Gautam Gambhir needs to bat well to perform even better against a better T20 side.
Delhi Daredevils will be happy with the return of their regular captain Kevin Pietersen in the team who missed out the first match against RCB on 17 April. The team must be worried about their openers who failed to stay at the crease till the 4th over of their innings. DD expect a lot from Dinesh Karthik who got out on a duck while other key player for DD Murali Vijay just got only 18 runs. Duminy and Taylor’s innings helped DD to make a comeback in the match and put up a respective total on the board. With batting lineup like RCB upfront, DD bowlers did not impress anyone with their performances. Team will look to open the winning account in the tournament and Pietersen’s return will be a confidence booster in the team.
