After a gap of 5 days, RCB and KKR are all set to play their third IPL match this season. With two wins in two matches Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be aiming at continuing this winning run in IPL. Another good news for RCB is that Chris Gayle who did not play in the first two matches could be seen in the playing XI squad. However the team has not felt his absence as other batsmen have not been troubled by bowlers so far. While Kohli and Yuvraj showed their form, Patel and Villiers made their presence count in team’s second match. Team’s bowling has been quite impressive so far. They bowled out MI at 117 in second match while restricted DD from scoring big total in their first encounter. Team’s real battle is yet to come and KKR could give them a tough fight in this contest.
One of the biggest worry for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is their out of form captain Gautam Gambhir who has gone out for a duck in both the last innings. Not only team needs a good opening from the left-hander but being the captain of the team he needs to setup examples for his teammates to follow. Manish Pandey has been good on both two occasions while Kallis was brilliant in first match. Uthappa, Pathan and other batsmen need to improve their game. Sunil Narine has been outstanding so far as per his name while Morkel and other bowlers have not impressed yet with their bowling figures. KKR is up against a strong side of RCB and their best can only take them to victory. Overall, RCB looks better than KKR on paper while anything is possible in a T20 game.
