Seeing increasing number of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in the country, Modi government has declared to issue National Identity Card (NIC) through National Population Register (NPR).
NDA and the present government could give preference to National Population Register (NPR) over the Aadhaar project. A scheme to give cards to people under NPR could also be launched.
About 94.4% people have been issued Aadhar cards in Faridabad district. Aadhar card enrollment of about 99.1% people has been completed in the district. Aadhar card of the remaining people will be made soon.
Aadhar card will be mandatory for pension, society registration, scholarship, BPL benefits, Indira Awas Yojana, property registration etc. in the state of Jharkhand.
When central government launched the Aadhar card scheme then ballads were read fiercely in its praise. It was told that after this every citizen of the country would have only one identity card.
If you have not got your Aadhar card yet then it is quite possible that you might not need it anymore in future as well. At present the situation is that you can open a bank account using Aadhaar number. You can also get a new mobile number through Aadhaar.

Aadhar card will be issued to about 12000 prisoners in the state of Gujarat by 15th March. With Aadhar card of the prisoners, their family members will get relief from the problems suffered without Aadhar card.
