The employees of Aadhaar enrolment went on strike after not receiving any payment for the past 3 months in Ghumarwin, Himachal Pradesh. After not getting the salary and false promises of company the employees completely halt the work by locking out at the Ghumarwin office. They announced that they will keep the work at halt until they get paid their full salary. This resulted in trouble for dozens of people who came for enrolment.
The employees said that they have not got any payment from the last 3 months because f which they are finding themselves in serious difficulty. They said that they were told on 10th January 2013 that they would be paid by 15th January 2013 but even after 1 month they have not received any payment as a result of which they will continue their strike until they are paid all their money. While the people who came there for Aadhar card enrolment said that they have left their work for this but even after so much wastage of time and money, they cannot enrol for Aadhar card. On the other hand, Naveen Kumar, State Head, UID Company said that employees have gone on strike on their will. He had assured that the employees will be paid by 10th February 2013 but they began the strike before that. The work will begin soon after paying the employees.
