News of relief for those students from the city of Vijayawada who have to submit their Aadhaar details online for applying for fee reimbursement scheme or scholarship provided by the state government. The district administration has simplified the work for the students who want to enroll for their Aadhaar number. Special Aadhaar enrollment camp has been setup in the city from 4th March where only students can apply for Aadhaar. A good point about such plan is that the enrollment process will be done at a good pace. The camp has been setup at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium (IGMC) where any student can enroll for Aadhar card. 5 counters have been placed at IGMC in order to hurry up the enrollment process. An official said that student from any district or state can come here for enrollment along with his/her SSC certificate and Ration card in support of their document proof. They can also bring any other valid documents required for Aadhaar enrollment. The centre will be working from 8 O’clock in the morning to 6 O’clock in the evening. On an average around 200 students enroll themselves daily while the number is expected to go up in the coming days as more students will come to know about this centre and also the exams of some schools will be over in the next few days.
Hindustan Shivsena in Jammu, J&K, has highly criticized mobile companies for not accepting Aadhar card as a proof of identity. At a press conference on Friday party President Dimpy Kohli said that Aadhar cards are have been issued by the Indian Government which is accepted as ID proof country-wide. The Aadhar card is valid even in security agencies. But why mobile companies are not accepting this? These companies did not give connection to those customers who attached a copy of Aadhar card with the application form. Kohli appealed the central government to strictly interrogate with the mobile companies. When banks are giving full respect to Aadhar card then why not mobile companies? While central government as strict orders for accepting Aadhar card.
