SDM raids post office, found 3000 undelivered Aadhar cards

Konch (Jalaun): After receiving many complaints from the public, SDM of Jalaun raided the area post office and shockingly found more than 3000 Aadhar cards in bundled in sacks which were supposed to be delivered to their respective owners. SDM took this step after being complained by the public that the postal department was not delivering their Aadhar card letters to their addresses. Aadhaar card is getting an important document considering its implementation in various government schemes and services but the bitter fact is that government’s own employees are not paying any importance to this vital document which ultimately results in chaos for the public.

People somehow manages to enroll for Aadhar card and when it comes to delivery of their Aadhar cards after waiting for several months of time, postal department simply ignoring their concerns. There are several hundreds of people in the rural and urban regions who have been waiting for their card for more than a year after enrollment due to which they are facing serious difficulties in availing subsidy and other government scheme benefits. During the SDM’s raid at the post office, such Aadhar cards were found which had to be delivered long time ago.

SDM reprimanded employees of the postal department for not taking such public issues serious and showing negligence of their work. SDM ordered the postal department to primarily focus on delivering all those Aadhar cards to their respective owners as early as possible. Tehsildar, Lakhpal and few other government employees were also the part of the raid team at the post office.

  1. I have not received my Andhar card yet what to do please help me I reported to postoffice but they have not send any reply………..
