Shivram is a financial consultant from Kerala. He wanted to make Aadhar card for his parents but his parents are too old to visit an Aadhar card enrollment centre to complete the mandatory processes. He was upset from the past several months as he was unable to find a solution to his problem. He visited several offices and spoke to officials about his problem but no one was able to help him in this regard. His parents can’t move out of their house, Shivram didn’t find any support. Finally, he decided to write about his problem directly to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
He wrote the letter to PMO on Thursday and there it was the perfect response to his problem. Shivram was surprised to see Aadhar card enrollment team knocking at his door on Sunday. The team arrived with computer, webcam, fingerprint and eye scanning machine at his house in Palakkad. The team enrolled his 90 years old father and 83 years mother at his home itself. His problem was solved within just three days of time, the same for which he was worried for past several months. Shivram said, “I want to heartily thank Prime Minister and his team. Problem of a common man was solved in three days. This will lighten up a hope among several people”.
Shivram told to an English daily, “I am surprised by this incident. I wanted to shift my parents from Palakkad to Coimbatore but they didn’t have any identity document and this is why I wanted to make their Aadhar card. I am shifting to Coimbatore along with my parents. I have been told that I can download Aadhar card copy online in a week and physical card will be available to me in one month of time”.
Since Modi becoming the PM, Shivram is one among those several lakhs whose problem has been resolved after contacting to PMO. A senior PMO official Jitendra Singh said that government received 8 lakh complaints last year out of which 6.8 lakh complaints have been resolved. Remaining complaints are pending just because of technical glitches. During UPA’s governance only two lakh complaints were received annually. Singh added, “People had no hope during UPA’s governance as far as resolution to their queries are concerned. That is why they contacted less to PMO. But since Modi’s rule, there has been an increase of 400% in terms of receiving of people’s complaints. This shows people’s belief in NDA government”. PM Narendra Modi is himself monitoring this initiative and regularly attends progress meetings. This is one among the several reasons behind an increase in his popularity among the public. So next time you have any problem, don’t hesitate in contacting PMO for a quicker solution to your concerns.
