Payment held for not having Aadhar Card

Ratlam (MP): District treasury department has not prepared bills after not receiving Aadhar card of all the members. Due to this payment of half of the district’s employees has struck. They might not receive their payment until Aadhar card is submitted. Finance Department has made Aadhar card mandatory for payments. All the treasury officials of the state have been instructed to not pass department bill until Aadhar card is submitted. Following this, treasury officials have stopped payments of all those employees who have not provided their Aadhar card details to the concerned department.

Every month payment about Rs.20 crore is distributed through district treasury department. Till now only Rs.11 crore have been distributed. Department will not sanction payment until Aadhar card copy is submitted to it. Normally all payments get paid by the 1st date of every month. Treasury department already informed about Aadhar card compulsion one month ago to each department. But because of negligence of the departments employees have to suffer payment crisis.

Arvind Kumar, an official of the department said that they had received order from finance department to not sanction payment without having Aadhar card and PAN card of the employees. All the departments were informed about this one month ago. Employees of those departments who have not complete Aadhar card and PAN card need not to prepare bills. Payments will not be sanctioned at any cost until all employees submit Aadhar card and PAN card details.
