  5. I had applied for renewal of my passport through Regional Passport Office, Dehradun (Application Reference No. 13-0000641868). I was given an Appointment with an ID 100003120586513 to appear before the Passport Officer on 26/02/2013 & 02.15 PM

As instructed I reported RPO, Dehradun on 26th February, 2013 at 2 PM. (Batch No. 17 and Sequence No. 10).

I had submitted Adhaar No. 8137 9744 6618 as proof of my residential address, which was categorically refused to accept by the dealing officials. I was asked to submit any other document such as ration card or bank passbook. As per instruction in passport website, I was carrying only Adhaar, the documents asked by the officials were not with me then. Hence, my application was rejected.

    • Yes, I completely agree with you R Kasturi. This happened with me as well. I went to Passport seva office on 28-aug-2013.It was already my side appointment but still they sent me back saying for address proof Aadhaar card is not sufficient. You have to have some other proof like Bank Passbook or Electricity Bill etc.

This is so ridiculous as my documents were complete as per the instructions given on Website.Website did mention that if you have ration card as address proof then you should carry atleast one more proof but it does not say anything about Aadhaar Card.

Passport Seva website should be updated with this ridiculous rule.

  6. I had applied for renewal of my passport through Regional Passport Office, Dehradun (Application Reference No. 13-0000641868). I was given an Appointment with an ID 100003120586513 to appear before the Passport Officer on 26/02/2013 & 02.15 PM along with following documents:
    1. Document Code 8017 – Old passport in original along with photocopy.
    2. Document Code 7001 – Proof of Present Address
    3. Document Code 8025 8063 8086 – Affidavit in prescribed format “Annexure K”
As instructed I reported RPO, Dehradun on 26th February, 2013 at 2 PM. (Batch No. 17 and Sequence No. 10).
In this regard I am submitting the following complaints for stern action against the officials involved:
    1) I had submitted Adhaar No.

    2) Moreover, they refused to accept the affidavit referred to above, citing that it is meant for police verification. This shows the ignorance of the officials.
