Illegal enrollment camps at Politician’s offices in Delhi to be seized

Politicians engaged in enrolling themselves by setting up enrollment camp at their offices in Delhi could be in trouble soon. Administration is in full mood to operate strictly against such leaders. Administrative officials have seized computers and other items from many such illegal enrollment camps running at politician’s offices. Even after this several such camps are still in operation. The concerned officials are in the mood of registering FIR against such people. Actually, the responsibility for Aadhaar enrollment has been given to Deputy Commissioner (DC) office. The provision is to open enrollment camp only after the consent of the Deputy Commissioner (Revenue). The responsibility for Aadhaar enrollment has been handed to six private agencies. Through collusion with these agencies, legislators, councilors along with politicians in different locations are running enrollment camps for months at their respective offices. People are reaching in huge numbers at these camps for enrollment purpose. Since elections in Delhi are nearer, politicians through these centers are looking for electoral benefits from the people. This is the reason why there is complete facility from AC to tea-coffee for attracting voters at such centers.

Those people are also able to enroll at these centers who do not have proof of being Delhi resident. A signature of legislator and councilor becomes sufficient proof for them. The regions where such enrollment camps are operational include Burari, Badli, Rohini, Budh Vihar, Rithala, Kirari, Sultanpuri, Narela, Mukandpur, Prashant Vihar, Ashok Vihar, Wazirpur and many other regions. Shyamsundar, SDM, Civil Lines said that we are getting continuous complaints about that. Politicians are using this for their election promotion. Machines of many such centers have been seized. If this happens in future as well then we will report FIR at police stations against people.

Authorities in the Mysore district are preparing themselves to cover up maximum Aadhaar-Bank account linkage of the LPG consumers in the district before July 1. The Aadhaar based LPG subsidy through DBT scheme is to be implemented in the Mysore district from July 1. In this process gas distributors have been asked to put drop-boxes for collecting Aadhaar number details from the consumers. Besides the distributors, drop-boxes will also be put up at petrol pumps in the district. A bank official informed that till now only 56% Aadhaar seeding as been done in Mysore district.
