To deliver information of Aadhaar based Direct Cash Transfer scheme, the central government with the slogan “Aapka Paisa Aapke Haath” is all set for its successful implementation. After Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the General Secretary of the Indian National Congress Rahul Gandhi, the Finance Minister P Chidambaram has come out to all praise for the much hyped DCT scheme. Calling the scheme as the game changer earlier, he is now calling it as the magic stick. For the sake of successful launch of the DCT scheme, the government has sent 40 officials in the 41 districts of 16 states where the first phase of the scheme will be implemented from 1st January.
Addressing at the golden jubilee function of the State Bank of Bikaner he said that this scheme is really wonderful. Through this the cash will be directly transferred into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. This will eliminate the problem of corruption involved in the mid of the transaction process taking place at present. He added that if transferring the payment directly into the accounts is not a magic than what else is it? That is why say that DCT scheme is magical. He also asked the banks to keep in pace with the government for the success of the scheme. PC also said that presently we are going to start this in only some selected region but we will try to expand it in the entire country by the end of 2013. Sonia Gandhi has said that the Aadhaar based DCT scheme is a revolutionary step.
