Aadhar card will be made in 2 phases in Dehradun

The Aadhaar enrolment process is soon going to begin in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. The enrollment work will be done in two phases in 30 wards within 15 days. The Aadhar card will be used both as ID and address proof of its holder. The enrollment forms will be available at the wards’ Anganwadi Assistants. An official from Haridwar Municipal Corporation said that the enrollment process will be completed before the Municipal elections and all the preparations have been completed for this.

The Aadhaar enrollment process will continue in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh till June 2013. This information was given by the district collector Sandeep Kadam. He said that except for Wednesday the enrollment work will be done on all the remaining days at the district headquarter. Earlier the provision of Aadhaar enrollment was only till 31st March here but the date has been extended for the convenience of the people. Besides this people can also enroll for Aadhaar at the development zonal headquarters. He added that the process for Aadhaar enrollment is quite simple and he also asked people to carry their photo ID proof and residential address proof along with them at the enrollment centre.

If you do not have any proof then you can also take the help of one who has been issued an Aadhaar number to act as your guarantor. Mr. Sandeep added that the 12-digit unique number will be valid for whole life and is accepted throughout the country and can be obtained free of cost. He said that those who have enrolled for Aadhaar but have not received it yet can download their E Aadhaar letter from the website or can also take the help of the department by visiting at the Sugam Centre of the DC Office by showing their acknowledgement slip.
