Aadhar card will be mandatory for pension, society registration, scholarship, BPL benefits, Indira Awas Yojana, property registration etc. in the state of Jharkhand. This decision was taken during a cabinet meeting with CM Hemant Soren on Thursday. A senior official said that Aadhar card has been made compulsory for availing various schemes in the state. However, those who do not have Aadhar card will not be denied of schemes and services and they have to write that they do not have Aadhar card. After this decision, Aadhar card will be mandatory for 25 different schemes in Jharkhand state.
Aadhar card enrollment from 21 May in Chhattisgarh
Aadhar Card enrollment will begin from 21st May in the entire state of Chhattisgarh. Aadhar enrollment camps will be setup in every city wards and villages. For the operation of this project in Chhattisgarh, a workshop was organized in Raipur by UIDAI’s Regional Headquarter Hyderabad. M Srinivasan gave detailed information about the project in the workshop. A senior official said that first phase of Aadhaar project has begun in the state from April 1. About 45 lakh people have been issued Aadhaar numbers in the state. Aadhaar enrollment work has been completed by 90% in Dhamtari and Koriya districts. Aadhaar enrollment work will begin from 21st May in the whole state. Dates and venue will be decided by local authority bodies.
