Patna (Bihar): All the students studying in government schools will get enrolled for Aadhar card. District Education Department has instructed all the head masters and principals about this. According to district education officer, there are 9 lakh students from class first to intermediate. Enrollment of these students will be done for which enrollment form has been sent to schools. Besides Aadhar card, bank account of these students will also be opened up. With registration for the new session, bank account of the students will also be opened up. Schools have been given responsibility for this.
Students cannot avail government benefits without Aadhar card and bank account. Guardian of the student will be made joint account holder if bank does not open their account. Shashi Bhushan Rai, DEO, said that beginning from the new session, students’ benefit amount will get directly transferred into the bank accounts of the students instead of the school account. Students will not be asked for any further details and based on the list from the schools, money will be transferred into the student’s Aadhar card linked bank account.
