Aadhar card enrollment will now be done at gas agencies’ offices in Kolkata from November 21 to January 10. Centre has announced to provide LPG subsidy on the basis of Aadhar card but majority of metro people have not enrolled for Aadhar card yet. Kolkata Municipal Corporation has taken steps for resolution of this problem. Corporation Commissioner attended a meeting with representatives of all three oil companies, gas agencies operators and officials of Aadhar card scheme. There are about 12 lakh LPG consumers in Kolkata served by 41 gas distributors. Temporary camps will be setup at offices of gas agencies and only LPG consumers could enroll there for Aadhar card. Kolkata Municipal Corporation is the nodal agency for Aadhar card enrollment.
Pathankot DC reviews Aadhar Card DBTL scheme progress
Special meeting regarding DBTL scheme for providing direct LPG subsidy to the consumers in Pathankot was organized at the swimming pool hall which was headed by DC Sibban C. The meeting was attended by District Food Supplier Controller (DFSC) Mangal Das, District Manager Rajesh Gupta, Area Sales Manager JP Lilvan, officials of various banks and gas agencies operators. DC Saibban said that consumers should get benefits of DBTL scheme for which Aadhar card number should be linked with bank account and gas consumer number. He also bank officials to bring pace in linking Aadhar card with bank account. He also asked LPG dealers to bring pace in registering Aadhaar LPG in their regions. He also asked dealers to put drop boxes outside their offices so that people can drop their Aadhar bank link form. He also asked to encourage people about this scheme. DC also urged LPG consumers to for getting direct subsidy in their account under the DBTL scheme, they should link their Aadhar number with bank account and consumer umber.
