Aadhaar enrollment camps soon at Panchayats

Soon the Aadhaar enrollment camps will be opened up at the Panchayats in Jamshedpur district of Jharkhand. This information was given by MP Secretary CH Rammurti on Saturday. He said the MP on 7 February wrote a letter concerned with this to Nandan Nilekani, P Chidambaram and many other officials. In the letter he wrote that the enrollment camps setup for enrollment are 20-30 km away due to which the villagers have to spend whole day for Aadhar card enrollment. In a reply letter to the MP Mr. Nandan Nilekani wrote that soon more Aadhaar enrollment centres will be setup in his constituency. The Director General of UIDAI was asked to direct the state government and UIDAI in this regard.

Aadhaar enrollment camp was setup at the Dana Mandi near Gil Road by the Ludhiana Food and Supply Employees Welfare Association on Monday. Enrollment of 30 people was done on the first day. Chief of Association said that the local people can now enroll for Aadhar card at this centre. Larger number of machines and staff has been appointed so that people do not face any difficulty.

Shiromani Akali Dal Overseas Wing has demanded for new Aadhaar enrollment camp in the Aery Mill road region of Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. A meeting was also held concerning this headed by Kaushal Mishra on Monday. In the meeting the district administration was asked to open new enrollment camps as long queue can be seen for Aadhar card and ration card in the Aery Mill Road region due to which people have to face problems.
