Aadhaar enrollment began in Nangal, Punjab

The enrollment for UID Aadhaar number began in Nangal, Punjab from January 22nd. Avtar Singh, AFSO, Nangal said that the enrollment process will began at 1300 hrs from Loar Darauli village. In the next 10 days the enrollment process will begin in the nearby locality of the Nangal city after setting up of enrollment machines in the area. He said that with 2 address proof documents the enrollment process will continue. Besides that, the finger print and photograph of the citizens will also be recorded. He added that interested people require 2 valid documents which can be birth certificate, ration card, medical card, pension card, army canteen card, passport, SSLC certificate, freedom fighter ID card, PAN card, PDS card, driving license, bank ATM photo card etc.

In Ramgarh, Jharkhand the officials have decided to increase the number of machines after seeing a huge response of people for Aadhaar enrollment. The decision was taken after a meeting of various enrollment agencies on Monday. It was also said that enrollment camp has been setup at the Ramgarh Zonal headquarter for the urban region. The enrollment camps will also be setup in the rural regions. The banks have also been directed to open zero balance accounts of the people.
