15 February is no longer a deadline: CM

This is surely a news of relief for the people of Andhra Pradesh as 15 February 2013 is no longer a deadline for the Aadhaar- linked LPG subsidy. The state chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy confirmed this declaration on 6 February which brought a big relief to the people of the state especially those who have either not enrolled for Aadhaar or have not received their Aadhar card yet. As the people rush at the enrolment camps resulting in scramble at the centres especially in the capital, Mr. Reddy attended a meeting with the officials and also asked them to setup 300 more enrolment camps in the capital.

He also directed to setup camps for the redressing of queries related to lost Aadhar card and not obtaining of Aadhaar letters.  Chief Minister Office also directed those people who have either not received Aadhar card or have lost them to enrol again for Aadhaar. The existing practise of subsidy will continue until further notification from the government. Mr. Reddy also asked to finish the complete enrolment process in the state in the upcoming 4 to 5 months. Chief Minister Office said that the transfer scheme was being implemented on a pilot basis.
