A 107 years old lady enrolled for Aadhar card

A 107 years old lady from Kota, Jaipur went to an enrollment camp on Friday for Aadhar card enrollment. The people and the employee at the enrollment camp got shocked to see such an old lady at the centre. Her name is Sajjan Kanwar and she came along with her 66 years old daughter Rajeshwari. She is a beneficiary of government pension scheme that is why she needs an Aadhar card to continue receiving it.

The flaws in Aadhaar card in Mirganj (Gopalganj), Bihar has made it baseless. From name to address, incorrect details have changed the identity of the people. The frustrating point is that the same mistake is repeated again after submitting document proof to rectify the errors. The enrollment process is underway in a school for months but name and address of majority of the people are being recorded wrong. Proofs are being demanded on complaints about incorrect name and address and the mistake is not being removed even after submission of sufficient proof.

District Collector of Ajmer reviewed the progress of Aadhar in the district. Actually the Government of India has started a pilot project of Aadhaar based DBT scheme in the district for transferring the benefits of various schemes directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. While reviewing DC clarified to the officials of education and health department that scholarship for post-metric and amount under Janani Suraksha Yojana scheme should be directly transferred into the accounts of the students and ladies respectively. He added that they should not be paid cash amount into their hands. He asked officials to help beneficiaries in opening up of bank accounts of the beneficiaries. He asked to complete this work by running campaign for this. He cleared that any type of carelessness will not be tolerated at any cost.
