Aadhar card is now a must for taking admission in distant courses. The University of Mumbai announced that the students interested in seeking admission in correspondence education courses will have to submit UID Aadhar card. Those students who do not have Aadhaar card will be given a provisional period of three months to submit it.
Making the decision of submitting UID Aadhar card by the students compulsory was taken at a meeting on a suggestion from the vice-chancellor Dr Rajan Welukar. The proposal behind adoption to such scheme of submitting UID Aadhar cards is to make the admission process easier. Aadhaar Card will save a lot of time during admission process by preventing filling of necessary details.
